With the help of a ladder he used to climb on the tin roof to take sunrays of the setting Sun. The branches of the Jackfruit tree were obstructing the sunrays from reaching him and had to be chopped off as can be seen in this picture. Taking sunrays was Netaji’s habit from young age.
